Eli Menezes

About

Eli Menezes is a Brazilian multi instrumentalist, producer and arranger. He began his playing at the early age of 12 on bass and his interest later on expanded to acoustic, electric guitar and keyboards while producing and arranging for local artists. His talent was nurtured in church where he still continues in New York and Austin TX.

Shortly after moving to NYC he began playing for numerous established artists and musicians which further cultivated his talent, taking him to a new level in his craft. His versatile musicianship effortlessly lends itself to any genre of music.

He has shared the stage and/or studio with such artists as Lauryn Hill, Rita Ora, Jennifer Hudson, Faith Evans, Michelle Williams(Destiny's Child), Richard Bona, Meshell N’degeocello, Gaby Wilson(aka H.E.R.), Sofia Carson, Common, Natasha Beddinfield, Ashanti, Victory Boyd & Infinity Song, David Bisbal, Melanie Fiona, Trey Songz, Thalia, Estelle, Fred Hammond, Lucy Woodward, David Grissom, Melba Moore, Syleena Johnson, Anthony Hamilton, Kori Withers, Ronnie Spector(The Ronettes), Fantasia, Keri Hilson, Leni Stern, Chrisette Michele, Angie Stone, Blk Odyssey, Aaradhna, Abraham Laboriel, Marvin Sapp Plus Brazilian Artists Leni Andrade, Wanda Sa and Roberto Menescal. Eli has worked with major producers such as Scott Jacoby, Jerry Wonda and Sergio George to name a few.

In addition to his tenured experience, he curated commercial music for Samsung and Bank Of America as well as movies “Think Like a Man” and Justin Bieber’s Rockumentary “Never Say Never”.

Alongside an extensive schedule with sessions and live shows for both major and independent artists all around the globe, Eli is a core member of EMP3 which is a trio consisting of long time friends and musical collaborators Manny Laine(Kanye West, Joss Stone) and Patrick Andy(Wyclef, Meshell Ndegeocello).
